All Hallows Eve
Happy All Hallows Eve to all our friends and family!!! We had a great time this Halloween and the best part was THERE WAS NO SNOW!!!! Seriously one of my biggiest complaints about living in mountain country is that by Halloween it is always cold and snowy and wet. SO this year was a treat not a trick and we were able to enjoy our night of pegan celebration as a family :). I hope you enjoy all the pictures.
love,
Scott, Leona, Star, Bree and Skyler
As is tradition Saturday before Halloween we went over to Grandmas and carved pumpkins with the cousins. Four out of the Five pumpkins we actually grew out in Grandmas garden which makes it all the more fun! After the pumpkins were carved we ate pizza and hung out it was a great evening, so thankful for simple family traditions. Star was pretending to eat her pumpkin guts and cousin Kaitlyn was having NOTHING to do with that LOL.
Skylers Guts!
Its hard work scraping out the inside of a pumpkin, so I was so grateful that this year for the most part they were able to do it for themselves.
and then it is time to create the design for the carving, Skyler went for a more traditional jack-o-lantern, Brees is a Cat and Star is an owl.
The carving
the completed work of art!
Star took her task very seriously :)
Bree's Kitty
The Cousins and their Pumpkins
Fast Forward to Monday its Halloween and its time to get into our costumes
Skyler is a Dragon from "How to Train Your Dragon"
Bree is NOT a pumpkin...she is a pumpkin fairy and she is responsible for making all the Halloween pumpkins grow!
Star is Astrid also from "How to Train Your Dragon"
Every Halloween we go to grandmas and have beef Stew, warm rolls, and pumpkin pie...here the kids are all set to head out into the bewitched night.
Ready, Set, GOOOOO
one of the houses had the stick your hands in and feel the nasty stuff display set up, the kids LOVED it. (disclaimer) we knew the family so I was not worried about them sticking their hands in random bowls :)
Trick-or-treat
Bree posing for a cute picture, and Skyler flying through the shot headed to the next house, he ran probably half the night!
The Haul. We were out for about an hour and a half the kids had a great time and we already have our costumes for next year, Can't wait!
