I did not grow up camping. I do not like being dirty, I do not like being sore, I do not like bugs, sticks, and sharp rocks, but I do like camping; go figure. This summer has been a blur and we just barely got to squeeze in a camping trip before school started again. We headed up to South Fork on Thrusday August 11 for a three day 2 night camping extravaganza, needless to say it was epic fun. We were accompanied by my Twin and her kids... (my twin is not my actual twin she is my closest friend and feels closer than a sister at times so we call each other twin, its a thing, any ways her name is Karen for further reference). Enjoy the pics they will be narrorated as we go :)
Love,
Scott, Leona, Star, Bree, and Skyler
omg they are backwards...lol well I am not switching their order now so we will just start with Saturday Morning before we left!
Star, Bree and Skyler posing for Mom in the river! I would like to give a shout out to my kids...they were awesome little campers. Now this wasn't their first rodeo of course but they were so helpful and listened really well which made the experince much smoother.
Friday Night... roasting mallows and having fun

Friday we went down to Pineview Resivour to beat the heat. The lake was 97% full but the water was warm and it felt so nice to take a dip and get some of the grim off of our bodies. The kids had a blast, this is Skylers hole.
River Monsters, muwhahahahahaaa
Lia, this is my twins little girl, she is my neice for all intents and purposes and she is such a little princess LOVE HER!!!
the whole gang Star, Lia, Ethan, Derrick, Bree and Skyler. I would just like to say that not one of those six adorable children got hurt on this trip which is a small miracle in and of itself!

Thursday Night fire made epic by ME
So we get to camp Thursday around 11 a.m. and the first thing the kids want to know is when they can roast marshmallows...they asked like every hour until finally the sun went down and it was cool enough for fire.
Derrick adn his Marshmallow FINALLY
Ethan and his smore YUM
Derrick (my twins middle kid) good luck mom this ones a lady snatcher :)
Little Fire Imps dancing around the flames
we were able to find a campsite that backed the river it had a nice little slope that led to this sandy beach that was kinda blocked off with rocks to make a nice little wading area for the kids this is what they did all afternoon, dig, throw rocks and get as filthy as possible!
Thursday when we got to camp the kids were restless and bored and hot, Scott took them for a walk to show them the camp ground, find the bathrooms etc, and to give the mommies a break! I would also like to say that this was on our 11th wedding anniversary, I love you hunny and I am so grateful for you your the best!
