This is Halloween!

Just in case we are ever in a life or death situation and you have to answer a question proving that you know me, AND the question happens to be "What is her favorite Holiday?" The correct answer is HALLOWEEN!!! Seriously people we get to be whoever we want to be and no one can judge us! Last night I went to a party dressed as a PUNKIN ROCKER...basically a pumpkin rockstar and it was a blast tonight I was a creepy french maid! I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!! I love the fall and all the colors and the weather here in Utah. The snow we just had threw me for a loop but it is getting nice again and is supposed to be in the 70's for Halloween. Today kinda kicked off the Halloween Vibe. We went over to Grandmas and carved our pumpkins with our cousins and friends and then we went to BOOnanzaa at the Clearfield Aquatic Center and we had a blast. I hope you enjoy these fun pictures of us celebrating this fun filled Holiday!
Love,
Scott, Leona, Star, Bree, and Skyler Thackeray

Here are the tools of the pumpkin carving extravaganza!!! By the way that thing attached to our drill is a pumpkin gutter...and its AWESOME!!!

Skyler quickly catching on to how cool the drill is!

"Boys first power tool experince"

GUTTS

every year we grow pumpkins in Grandmas garden and this year our pumpkins, well they were strange. Finally I realized Grandma did not plant jack-o-lantern pumpkins and so these pumpkins we had were completly solid! They were more like what you would use to cook with. Anyways here Kaitlyn my niece is modeling just how thick her pumpkin was! The smaller one is from Skylers store bought jack-o-lantern pumpkin and the larger one is from Grandmas Garden. Thank heavens for our new found drill toy because this pumpkin needed some serious degutting! oh and next year I will go with grandma to make sure we get the right pumpkins :)

Kaitlyn does not actually enjoy the degutting!

but I made her gut hers anyways. This is her experince (takes a big handfull of guts) "THIS IS SO DISGUSTING!!!". (plops it on the table)...(takes another big handfull of guts) "ITS LIKE SMASHING A SPIDER WITH MY HANDS!!!" lol I love kids seriously they are so funny.

My nephew Carson got some one on one time with Uncle Scott!

I love that my kids are old enough now to mostly do things for themselves. This pumpkin carving experience was not horrible! It was exciting to see the faces they came up with and then that they were able to carve for themselves was fantastic. I still drew Skyler face on the pumpkin but its his design and he did a really great job!

SO he finishes carving the nose and is like "WAIT MOM...can my pumpkin grow a mustache?" why yes Skyler, yes he can!!!

Scotts new facebook profile picture :)

Stars turn with the pumpkin deguttenator

Star loves pumpkin guts!!! bet you can't tell :)

Our other adopted "daughter" Aleksia (see many prior posts) was with us to carve as well. She is so tiny I was pretty sure she was going to star spinning with the drill, but she gave it her GIIRRRRRRRL power and defeated that overgrown squash!

She was also not a huge fan of guts!!!

Bree's pumpkin was another home grown beast from the garden! The thing had to weight like 50 pounds and this is her quote of the day "Mom, this is it! This is the Great Pumpkin from Charlie Brown!"

But it didn't stop her from drilling out its innards...

or stop her from carving into the cutest princess pumpkin ever!

more carving.

Stars creation...frankin cutie

Kaitlyn and Carson's end game! so cute!

Star looking beautiful, like always.

Frankin Cutie and Cutie

Princess and the pumpkin

and Stache...seriously this is how my son looks most of the time, his new nickname is astronaut because most of the time he is a total space case!

All the kids and thier pumpkins :)

Here we are tonight at BOOnanzaa, most of the pictures didn't turn out because of all the strange lightening and being around the pools and what not. Kinda a costume preview minus the life jackets lol...

life jackets were for the canoe ride!

OH and we "won" fish!!! SUPER <----- sarcasim
