Scott and I just got back from the land of sun and surf after a 4 day 5 night stay at the Catamaran Resort and Spa in San Deigo! This was the location for Scotts works Annual Meeting, celebrating the big 20 years of service. We did NOT bring the kids, and it was wonderful! My Dad flew out and stayed with them so mom and dad could have this trip to ourselves, but trust me there was no suffering happening here they were spoiled good. Needless to say we had an amazing trip and were sad to return to the "real" world, but here we are and tomorrow we go back to the daily grind! I hope you enjoy these pictures.
Love,
Scott, and Leona
well fail, I did it again, these pictures go from Saturday backwards to Wednesday Morning so be patient with me lol.
One quick pic before we left! The whole trip the sun was out for like a total of 4 hours a day, except on Saturday it came out and lite up the beach.
Saturday was our play day so we spent it down on Mission Beach. They had some rides and an arcade we decided to mini golf in the black lights...here Scott is defending me from the big scary shark :/
OMG my toes and my ball matched!!!!
This is the Bahia Belle. She is a paddle boat built in 1941 that goes between the two resorts on the Mission Bay. Friday night we hopped on board and cruised the bay enjoying the sights of the city. This picture is stolen from Google I didn't get a good one of the boat.

Its Ray!!!! The wildlife down there was amazing and this little guy came swimming up to us on the shore while we were waiting for the boat. The lighting was horrid but you get the basic outline. Earlier that day while I was walking the beach one of these little guys got washed up with the tide and I had to chase/help him back out into the water.
Jackie Chan...nope just a very cool crane.
Awe its us on the beach
Thursday night we went out with some of the couples that were there from Scotts work to Old Town. We ate at Rockin Baha Costal Cantina, which was delicious. I got some yummy Tacos, Scott got a burger...boring...and the real fun was these seafood buckets you can get with crab, lobster and shrimp. It was a really fun setting and the service was great I would recommend.
Resorts lobby
Amazing foliage, our hotel was set up with the whole hawaiian theme, it truely felt like a world of its own.
OMG its a Dolphin!!!! So we walked out to the end of this pier by our hotel just chilling when this pod of Dolphins come up and start playing around in the water. It was so cool, I had to video it and then take snapshots of the video but it was such an amazing thing to witness in the wild.

Wednesday night is when as a company and clients family and friends we celebrated C.U.D.P's 20 birthday. We had an awesome luau out on the beach of mission bay complete with hula, and fire dancing, yummy islander food, and hawaiian singing. We had a blast and yes there was a special number by yours truly as I was chosen from the crowd to hula, yes it was a disaster...no there will be no pics. :)
Why Scott was in meetings all day I had to find something to do to pass the time...lol it was so great to have some me time. I walked and picked up shells, read and just relaxed on the beach it was really really rough but hey someone had to do it. :)
