Today we went to California Caverns in Cave City,CA. It was an adventure that none of us have ever had and I think it is safe to say that it is a once in a lifetime activity. The caverns are amazing it is crazy to see all the rock formations and the history behind the cavern. Before we went the kids and I did some educational stuff to learn the names of all the different kinds of formations and how they are formed etc...Just a note it takes 500 years to add an inch to most formations that means that since Christ was born they have grown about 4 in. INSANE!!! There were some tight fits and the kids were very brave through the whole thing. We experienced total darkness, which sucks, needless to say I think that dwarves and hobbits are crazy I was made to dwell above the soil. Enjoy the pics!
